Editor's Notes

Our long summer break is over, and we at The Foreigner - Japan are back for our 9th edition. We've changed our layout somewhat since the 8th edition, and we've added a few new writers to our editorial family.

Rachel Walker is Dazed and Uninspired this month, heralding her continuing efforts to write the International Best-Seller of the 21st Century, which may or may not be a lesson in futility.

Sam Barnes joins the Foreigner crew with his Western take on all things Japanese, especially those things that simply irk us first timers to Nippon. He's Outside Looking In.

Also new this month is Dan Bloom with an interesting take on Canadian author and Holocaust survivor Karen Levine, her book Hana's Suitcase, and how it affected one particularly special Japanese woman.

We always love feedback on anything in The Foreigner, so please feel free to click the 'comments' link after each article, and speak your mind. Cheers.
