or those of you wondering why we haven't updated the site for the last several weeks, The magazine lives and dies by our writers and photographers who forward us their impressions, articles, and photo essays so that we can continue to reflect the foreigner's eye on Japan.
Unfortunately with an all-volunteer organization, it can be difficult to attract new writers as others leave the country, or move, or disappear off the radar.
So I figured with our latest update, The Foreigner-Japan should remind you that it's people just like yourself that volunteer to how us how they see Japanese life, and the situation they find themselves in - whatever that may be.
TFJ was founded on the principal that we as an organization would help new and working writers and photographers find a way to tell their stories in a visually exciting, interesting and professional manner. In the past four years we have managed to evolve and grow, and yet remain true to that principal.
If you have a story or photo you want to share, get it down into an email and send it. We will be more than happy to review it and work with you toward a publication date.
We may own and operate the Foreigner, but at its heart is the vision of those who live and breath the Japanese experience.
Sincerely,
Matt Goerzen Managing Editor
