Setting your computer clock

The clock displays the local time in Japan. It checks the time of your computer and then calculates the time difference with Japan. If you feel this clock displays the wrong time, here's how to correct the problem.

For XP users:

  • Check your time-zone settings.
Double click the clock in your taskbar, and select the "Time Zone" tab.

Make sure you have set the correct time zone settings

  • Keep your computer time up to date by checking it with an internet time server.
Double click the clock in your taskbar and select the "Internet Time" tab.
Make sure the box for "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server" is checked.

For non XP users:

  • Check your time zone settings.
Double click the clock in your taskbar.

Make sure you have set the correct time zone settings

  • Keep your time up to date by checking it with an atomic clock or internet time server.
